God calls all of us to have a role in and be a part of global missions. We are participants in the bigger story, in God’s plan to bring redemption to all peoples. But where can you start? How can you join in?
How We Plant Churches
God has determined the exact time and place in which we live, work, and play for His glory (Acts 17:26). We steward our resources well and spread the gospel further when we build up healthy, gospel-centered churches. We multiply the kingdom by planting these churches, whose people can continue the good work of making God known and enjoyed in DFW and beyond.
But how do we do it? We train church planters through our Church Planting Program and send them out to reach the lost and start new churches.
Campus Transitions
Through our Multiply campaign, we transitioned each of our campuses into autonomous local churches so that they might better minister to their communities.
Partner
We team up with organizations like Acts 29, where Matt currently sits as president, to help plant churches that plant churches.
The Sending Program
Through our Sending Program, we equip and send you to reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We have different processes and development plans for missionaries and church planters, but for church planters, the program prepares men in both the theological “whys” and practical “how-tos” of church leadership before launching them into pastoral ministry and church planting.
Potential church planters complete an extensive application process, and all applicants are thoroughly screened, assessed, and interviewed by the Director of Church Planting and supporting staff. Applications may be submitted at any time. The interview process for the next round of church planters will begin in October of each year. The program begins in August and will go through December of the following year.
For more information or to apply for the program, visit the application page. If you have any questions, please contact Tyler Powell.
When Stephen and Allison Gordon were asked to move to Rancho Cucamonga, California, to help plant Story Church, they were initially hesitant. Leaving behind the security they had enjoyed in Texas would not be easy, but the Lord’s call on their lives was clear. They are committed to seeing the gospel go forth in Southern California.
You have a role in church planting and you are called to be a part of it. How will you join in God’s story?
Go through the Sending Program and be sent as a missionary or church planter.
