Role
The Connections Associate exists to support the Connections Ministry of The Village Church by providing care, equipping, and coordination to the ministry’s serving teams, as well as guest and member support for those looking for deeper engagement in the life of the church.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Connections Staff and Deacons to onboard, oversee, care, and equip weekend and weekday Connection Volunteers.
- Oversee all scheduling, onboarding needs, calendar requests, and submitting of needed budget requests for Connections Teams.
- Manage processes and procedures contributing to the Connections Ministry department on the weekend, including Safety and Security, Weekend Attendance, Baptism Coordination, and Service Planning as needed.
- Collaborate with other ministry departments to ensure that people are accurately and promptly invited into the life of the church.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and Theological Distinctives and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2+ years experience within ministry context
- Proficient experience in database management and Google Suite
- Proficient experience in volunteer coordination and administration
- Proficient experience in recruiting, developing, and managing volunteer leaders
- Proficient skills in written and verbal communication
