Life Story
I was born outside of San Diego, California, and my family moved to McKinney, Texas, when I was 6. I was led to Christ by my dad through a simple prayer by the dim light of my bedroom lamp. From that point on, I did all of the things I thought Christians were supposed to do—attend church, read the Bible, and serve on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. This was the extent of my faith, and I thought that checking those things off my to-do list made me a “good Christian.”
During my senior year of high school, my friend sent me a sermon about lukewarm Christianity. This sermon impacted me greatly, and I pondered it for quite a long time. I then had two dreams through which the Lord convicted me and called me to repent from a life of lukewarm faith. This was a huge turning point in my life. I went from simply believing in Jesus to following Him wholeheartedly!
I attended college at the University of North Texas, where I discovered my love for production. I have a BBA in Marketing with a minor in Music. I also served on the worship and media team at my college ministry, Overflow. During this time, my relationship with Christ grew stronger through time spent in community, serving the local church, leading Bible studies, and studying the Word on my own. In my junior year of college, I began dating Maddie, whom I am proud to call my wife.
During college, I worked at First Denton Baptist Church as a Production Associate, where I learned valuable production skills that I use today. After graduating college, I became a Regional Coordinator for Worship Support Network, which led me to my role as the Technical and Communications Director at BridgeWay Church in Flower Mound.
I have learned a lot through my experiences, the guidance of wise counsel, and I am thankful that my career has allowed me to make meaningful, lifelong friendships, and I am thankful to continue doing so at The Village Church.
Hope for The Village Church
I hope to see us continue to grow into a community deeply rooted in God’s Word that is passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus. I pray for us to empower and encourage one another to follow Christ wholeheartedly and courageously share our faith.
