Deacon of Women's Discipleship Groups

TVC Responsibilities:
I lead our core team to effectively run Women’s Discipleship Groups. Additionally, I guide our group leaders as they disciple women in Christ, and I help create and modify the weekly WDG curriculum.

When and how did the Lord save you?
The Lord saved me when I was quite young, around the time my older sister passed away from cancer. Facing that significant loss at an early age led me to trust in Jesus as my only hope and security.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
I attended TVC for the first time in 2008 while I was a college student at Texas A&M. After hearing Matt Chandler speak at Breakaway Ministries, I started consistently listening to the TVC podcast. I came to TVC whenever I was home on school breaks and began attending regularly upon my graduation in 2009 before our family temporarily moved away.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would speak passionately about the vital necessity of discipleship within the local church, as I believe the church truly thrives when robust discipleship takes place.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
My childhood dream job was to be a professional ballerina, though my current professional dream is to be a Supreme Court advocate.

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would choose Nia Wingfeather from The Wingfeather Saga by Andrew Peterson because she is a mother of three who stands as one of the most courageous and strong women I have ever encountered in fiction. Alternatively, I would love to be friends with Jack Ryan; I deeply enjoy Tom Clancy novels and find the espionage and military geopolitics genres wildly entertaining.
