TVC Responsibilities:
My responsibilities include directly mentoring our Young Adults leaders, supporting host homes, praying consistently for the health of the ministry, and serving as a seasoned saint to our young adults.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I grew up attending church with my mother every single time the doors were open. Shortly before I turned 11, my father beautifully gave his life to Christ. Our family relocated to Texas soon after, and church and faith took a far more central role in our household. When I was 14, I attended a church camp where the Lord powerfully grabbed hold of my heart. I officially committed my life to Christ in my bedroom the day after returning home from that camp.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
In 2019, I joined the Training Program, even though I was not yet a member and lived over an hour away. While going through the curriculum, I remember praying about how incredible it would be to attend TVC permanently, but we were heavily invested in our church and lived too far away. In 2021, God answered that prayer in an unexpected way when I accepted a job in Denton. We officially relocated to Denton in 2023 and knew immediately that TVC would be our church home.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I could comfortably speak in front of a massive crowd on just about any subject, even if I know absolutely nothing about it. It is not that I am exceptionally smart, but rather that I have just enough confidence to wing it in almost any public speaking situation.
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games because she is a remarkably brave woman who consistently stands up for the underdog, knows how to fight, and can expertly shoot an arrow.
