Deacon of Home Groups

TVC Responsibilities:
My primary responsibilities include assisting group leaders with administrative office support, helping coordinate GroupConnect, and managing ministry communications.

When and how did the Lord save you?
During my senior year of high school, I attended several Youth for Christ and Campus Life events. At one of their outreach events, I officially accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Shortly after, I received my very first New Testament and began my intentional walk with Jesus.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
My family and I attended TVC for the first time on Easter Sunday in 2022. We originally relocated to this area to be closer to our grandchildren, and our son and daughter-in-law were already actively attending TVC.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would speak on how learning life skills gives your children unique opportunities to minister to others and share the gospel. Cultivating practical life skills gives children the confidence to share concepts they know how to do, equips them with the vocabulary to hold meaningful conversations with others, and opens the door for them to explain that their love ultimately comes from Jesus.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
My childhood dream job would be writing children's books or assisting with the historical research required for period novels.

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with Lucy Pevensie from C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia. Lucy firmly believed in and saw Aslan the Lion even when those around her doubted her accounts. This resonates with me deeply because I was the first believer in my own family.

Favorite Hobby:
I enjoy working on all types of puzzles, ranging from crosswords and jigsaws to three-dimensional puzzles and mysteries. I also love learning how to successfully grow plants in the Texas climate.
