TVC Responsibilities:
My responsibilities include directly mentoring our Young Adults leaders, supporting host homes, praying consistently for the health of the ministry, and serving as a seasoned saint to our young adults.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I did not grow up with any spiritual foundation or faith background. While I was dating my wife, she introduced me to the local church and her faith-filled family. We began attending services together, and although I was intellectually curious about God, I did not fully commit my life to Him. It was not until we were married and welcomed our first child that I truly understood the profound love a father has for his children. Realizing that this is exactly how God loves me completely shook me, and I surrendered my life to Christ.
When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
In 2021, my wife and I began traveling over an hour each way to participate in TVC’s Tuesday night Bible study. During that study, we joined a Care Group that ministered directly to a situation our family was navigating, and we participated in that group throughout 2022. In 2023, we relocated to Denton for my wife’s job, and we knew without a doubt that TVC would be our church home.
If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I have frequently been told that I have a face for radio and should have pursued sports commentary. Consequently, my TED Talk would center on a sports-related topic, as I possess a wealth of knowledge and can speak at length on almost any athletic subject.
Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would choose to be friends with Peter Quill from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. I feel that we share a lot in common regarding his fierce loyalty, his deep care for his friends, his love of great music, and his relatively inauspicious beginnings.
