Life Story
I grew up as the second of six children being raised by a single mom. I had many fears, insecurities and doubts related to my identity. During one summer, while roaming the streets and getting into trouble, an uncle invited me to attend a church conference with him in Beaumont, Texas. There I met several young men my age who were believers. Upon returning home, I began to attend church with these guys.
After several months of hearing the gospel, I surrendered my life to Christ and have sought to follow him for the past 50 years. It was at this church that I met and married my wife and life partner, Debra. We’ve been married for over 45 years and have four grown children: Stephanie (and her husband Aaron), Rachel (and her husband Michael), Jonathan (and his wife Katherine) and David. We’ve also been blessed with four beautiful grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy time with the family, reading and golf when I can.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for The Village is that we would be a people representative of the kingdom of God, growing in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God the Father.
