Role

The Finance Associate is responsible for all revenue accounting, assisting with expense accounting tasks, and serving as the primary point of contact with financial contributors and finance volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Process all revenue and contributions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for financial contributors, maintaining and distributing giving statements and acknowledgements for charitable contributions on a timely basis.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for finance volunteers, including scheduling, training, recruitment, and care.
  • Assist with various accounts payable and expense reporting tasks, including coding review and processing of invoices.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, and Theological Distinctives, and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly MS Excel or Google Sheets
  • Entry-level experience in accounting or finance
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field recommended, but not required
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality
  • Organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
